"Sweet Dreams"


The rabbit was a good listener. He listened to Edith talk about her nightmares. After a while, he asked her where she'd most like to fall asleep. Edith sighed and described a field and green rolling hills and trees. She paused and smiled, wishing she could be there now. Before she could describe it, the sound of crickets faded in and then the fireflies came. Dozens of them. Her eyes closed and she listened to the chirping as she fell asleep. The rabbit watched the fireflies cautiously. They seemed awfully curious.
