"Monsters In Mayberry"

Andy and Barney were sitting out front of the barber shop, as ususal, watching another slow day go by. They were talking about nothing in particular when there was a "chirp chirp" sound, like a car alarm.
"What's that?" Barney asked. All of a sudden, the delicate sound of high heels came along and both of their jaws dropped in unison. An extraordinarily pretty young witch walked by, followed by a lovely scent which had the same effect as week-old moonshine on the two lawmen. Carrying her groceries, she went to the broom that was parked a few feet away and set one bag on the back. The other bag began to rip and an orange fell out, followed by another and another. Scrambling to stop the rest of the groceries from falling, the witch deftly reached to retrieve the lost oranges. There was an audible gasp and Barney asked in a hushed tone, "You think we oughta help her?"
Andy surmised the situation and watched her pick up another orange, only to have a can of goat's eye soup fall to the street and roll away. In two long strides, the Sheriff had the can and an orange in his hands and handed them to the young woman. She smiled and thanked him.
"Howdy Miss. I-I'm Sheriff Andy. You're new in town ain'tcha?"
"Yes I am. I'm taking over the Apothecary Shoppe. My name is Miss Haven. Miss Bea Haven."
They shook hands and she said she needed to get home. Cradling her groceries, she hopped on her broom, crossed her long legs and whooshed off, giving Andy a cute smile. She certainly broke the speed limit, if there had been a speed limit for flying brooms.
Barney ran up excitedly ready to write a ticket. "Did you see the way she tore out of here, Andy?"
"Sure did, Barn." The grinning sheriff said in a kind of smitten stupor. "I think I'm gonna have to come up with a reason to go get me a potion of some kind."
