| The crows. Always the crows. Day and night, wherever he went, they followed. Back in the early 1950's, Earl did a bad thing. A really bad thing. He got away with it, but the memories wore on him right from the beginning. Then the crows started showing up. Nobody talked to Earl, because they knew the crows meant something they wanted nothing to do with. He almost turned himself in, several times. He almost put a gun to his head, but he didn't.
